I dont need a hosting package with 1.5GB of storage and 500GB transfer, that would be horrendous overkill for the size of site that I will be using.

It’s exactly what you are looking for.
Go to Services and Packages, and if you want a sub domain then click that…if you have a domain, click the other. Then use Silver package…its $3.95/month with cPANEL access.

It’s like needing a car to carry an envelope down the block - the least car you can buy is one that can carry 4 people on the interstate.
There are at least a hundred web hosts that have plans that are under $5/month - many of they that have been in business for years, so they’re not likely to disappear on you. There are also hundreds of opinions here on Yahoo Answers posted by people who like or hate their own hosting company, with reasons. Read them and make your own choice, based on information you’re gotten from others’ experience.

If your hosting service is not uptime it can be real hell!

So long as the website is legit (is a real site for a real company/ person, ie you are not another domain reseller, looking for free webspace, just for a different IP location).

I would also look into WebHostingBuzz (http://www.webhostingbuzz.com). They have budget hosting plans starting at $3.95/month.
