I have hosted my website with Indiatimes Hosting and never got a problem with them in last 1 and half years. I have their direct contact number which I dial anytime I have a problem and they are really supportive.
But don’t know where u r from.
Next about the newsletter, I do not bother about running a newsletter script from my server, I have outsourced it to GetResponse.com
GetResponse service costs me $19 each month but it really gives peace of mind as I know that I need not to worry about server uptime or scheduled delivery of newsletter on time.
I just write a newsletter, upload it to my GetResponse account and schedule time for release that’s it.

In my experiences and most others that have had websites and hosting skills over the years, the following is the best and most trustworthy and will not give you any hastles in the least. It’s friendly to use, easy to figure out, and has plenty of information and 24 hour access to help, etc. ::::

I’ve heard from credible sources that Media Temple is excellent. They are located in US, but these days geographical location makes no difference for this sort of services. My mate uses them for his business in Australia.

Beside finding a reliable host, make sure the host’s server fulfils your requirement. For example unix or windows?
Find out if you need phpmail, sendmail, and smtp especially if you send attachments with newsletters.
Some newsletter scripts require Perl. Find out if you need PHP and Perl?
I will not go through the criterion for selecting hosts, most of them offer free account/trial giving you the opportunity to see if the server satisfies your website needs.
Whichever host you choose you may want to contact them first explaining your needs.
For example with the popular 1&1, webmasters were unable to send emails/newsletters to customers with hotmail.com, not sure if this is still the case. Yet they worth a try being one of the best hosts offering customer support, and their servers hosted in Europe are suitable for UK residents .

There is a list of web hosts at
all are under $7 per month, some under $5 some have unlimited space. These are the best offers I have found. As a web designer I recommend them. At least give them a look.

If you are a business then I recommend this host
This is because they have the best Windows ASP.NET hosting account I have come across that lets you have unlimited SQL databases and you can host multiple websites with just one account. If you ever run into any problems or have questions you can use thier forum which always helps you out.

Yes. HostGator is a very reliable hosting company.
I’ve been using them for years with no issues. Almost 100% uptime and excellent support.
